Saturn

Saturn ( Model : MK-80200A-50) - 02

The Saturn was the first competitor to the Jag and came out at around
the same time as the Playstation.
Technically there was little to distinguish the three consoles other
than that the Sega and Playstation were CD Rom rather than the
cartridge consoles which gave them a bit of an advantage over the Jag,
who's cart size was the same as the SNES.
After the Jags demise, the Saturn was the only competition to the
Playstation and despite a brief and impressive struggle lost out to
that horrible Sony machine, mainly due to its being difficult to program
(apparently).
Despite this some great games were released for it including
Virtua Fighter 2, still argueably the best 3D beat em up of its generation.
