Mega ST1 - 01 |
The Atari Mega ST is the "professionnal" version of the Atari STf. It has the same characteristics as the STf. Atari added a Blitter, the Blitter, by the way, is a custom chip designed to perform quick memory moves. The Mega ST has a small battery to hold time and date and a small fan (except for the Mega ST1). This computer was especially designed to be the cheapest publishing solution (and it was!). The Mega ST had a pretty good success and was replaced with the Mega STe and by the TT. (www.old-computers.com) |
